Bubby's - Where do I begin?! There are levels to this game and this restaurant is miles ahead of the competition. I'm not just talking about its world-famous James Beard pancakes (which are the best pancakes I've ever had - light, fluffy and slightly sweet), but also the insanely HUGE portions and simple, high quality ingredients. We didn't wait long to be seated for a late brunch at 2 pm on Saturday (two of us), but there was definitely a long line going out the door - so I recommend going early if you can. They have a good system here - lots of staff running around with fresh plates of food and serving customers quickly. Slightly crowded but not too bad. Great atmosphere. By 3 pm the line was gone and there were many empty tables. You can't go wrong with this menu if brunch is your thing. Everything from standard bacon/eggs to biscuits/sausage, and burgers and salads. We opted for the Pancake Flight (3 massive pancakes - see photo) which comes with caramelized banana & toasted walnuts, blueberry compote, Nutella, mixed berries & whipped cream, which I then smothered with the maple syrup they have on the table. Cake for breakfast. I saw a lot of other people ordering this and they couldn't finish it. Not me. I also got the Chicken Burger which consisted of a ground chicken patty seasoned with spices on a sesame bun (not a fried sandwich) and lettuce/onion/tomato. It comes with crispy fries. This tasted so fresh and was super filling. Then again, I just trained that morning, so I had to get my favorite post-workout item: Greek Yogurt w/ Granola, fruit and honey. I also drowned this in maple syrup. I assume the granola is made in-house, it was extremely delicious. Great flavor - again big bowl and big portion Then to share, we had the Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese. This soup is world class - savory, tangy and creamy all at the same time. Pairs perfectly with the thick sliced sourdough filled with melted grilled cheddar. And for some added protein we got a side of pork sausage which was rich and fatty. I'm drooling as I write this. THEY HAVE A DESSERT MENU TOO. I wanted to order the Banoffee pie as well as the Michigan Sour Cherry, but after everything I ate above, I knew I would feel sick after. So I'm leaving those for next time (tomorrow lol). I would eat here everyday for the rest of eternity if I only lived closer. I always appreciate a restaurant that doesn't skimp on portions. But it's probably a good thing else I would gain 50 lbs in a heartbeat. Bubby's isn't really a secret around here, but I would say it definitely lives up to the hype! 10/10

Bubby's was the first stop of what is now our monthly Girlie Sunday Fundays! The weather was beautiful so we chose to dine inside because the line was moving quicker. We were seated and had a lovely experience. I ordered the Avocado Toast with a scrambled egg and salad. I was also being grown and ordered an adult beverage - the Bourbon Sweet Tea. Both were good. The Avo Toast is served on sourdough bread (I honestly can't remember if that was a choice or just the way it comes). It was firm and crisp. The goat cheese added a touch of creaminess which I surprisingly liked. The Bourbon Sweet Tea was delicious! It tasted like a normal sweet tea but certainly packed a punch. After shopping we returned to the bar for drinks. This was where we fell in love with Bubby's. Everyone was so kind. Every.Single.Person. We hung out and talked to "The G-Spot" (all the gentlemen behind the bar), the manager, and other staff members. Since I'm not much of a drinker, I've never cared for mimosas. "G" made me a lavender mimosa and I have to be honest - I'm going to order it on my return. "G" also made us drinks according to our pallet while Grant made sure we were too drunk lol. Our favorite manager even ordered fries for us to soak up the liquor. Before we left we went downstairs to take a picture in the photobooth. It was hilarious! I definitely plan on returning to Bubby's for its warm and fun atmosphere!

Walked in on Saturday morning -- right at opening time! Service was lovely and I was tended to with care. I got the James Beard Pancakes with mixed berries, 10/10. Also got myself a cold brew with milk, so good! It was already lively and loud, but it's a Saturday morning and folks are with family ready to eat! Portions are huge, so definitely go with a friend unless you're VERY hungry. Very filling and took my leftovers home. If I wasn't so full, I would also get a pink lemonade. This is my second time in all coming and no disappointments!

Slightly pricey, but everything was very good and delicious. I understand the hype! Bubby's had all of its reservations booked on a Friday morning, and I hear there's no reservations at all on weekends. Be prepared to wait in line if you go. Luckily at 11am, it was a 10-15 min wait which wasn't so bad. Between my party of three, we tried the James Beard pancake flight, the fried chicken + pancakes, and the crab cake benedict. - Pancake Flight: 5/5. The pancakes are SO fluffy and have a great flavor, even on their own. Loved having the generous heap of toppings on each one. My favorite was the banana nut. The pancakes are LARGE, and the syrup is real maple syrup - a big plus for me! - Chicken & Pancakes: 4.5/5. It came with two pancakes and three pieces of chicken, which was a very generous portion in my opinion. Some of the chicken pieces were a little dry, but the syrup helped. The meat was very well seasoned. Super filling and good. - Crab cake Benedict: 4/5. LOVED the hollandaise sauce, and the eggs were poached perfectly. The crab cakes were light on the crab, but that was expected. Also a generous portion and also very tasty. Comes with a side too. There seems to be a lot of seating, especially outside. The servers weee quick and great at their jobs. Over all I had a great experience here, but probably wouldn't go back often because of cost. Would love to try more items though!

Love, Love, Love! This is one of the first food places that I will visit when I touch down in NY! You want good music? You want good food? You want both of those on any day of the week? Bubby's Tribeca has all that and MORE!! I enjoy being able to come here for brunch and be greeted and engaged with a great staff! The Chicken & Pancakes is so much food but honestly worth it! The food portions are a nice size, with great music and ambiance, you can take your time. Each visit there is a long line to get it in but it goes by quickly and you honestly meet so many great people and the staff come out to check in on the progress of line movement.

Relatively famous cozy spot in Tribeca with thick, fluffy pancakes, biscuits and cocktails served all day. Their portion sizes are absolutely massive so sharing is a must. Their fried chicken and shish kebabs were delicious. I highly recommend stopping by during off hours or a holiday weekend when everyone leaves the city. Trust me their pancakes taste just as great after 2 PM.
